Agfa Graphics attains Gold status
in the Adobe Solution Partner program

Commitment of both parties to the continued success
of Apogee as a leading PDF workflow for commercial printers

By Ratanaporn B. Jakobsen

Recently Agfa Graphics announced it has been appointed Adobe Gold Solution Partner and member of the Adobe Partner Connection.

With this designation, Agfa Graphics and its Apogee Development Team clearly selects Adobe Systems Incorporated as a strategic technology partner for its current and future software portfolio. The Apogee Team can benefit from this alliance and gain access to additional resources and support from the Adobe teams, broadening the scope beyond the product level.

"The program both benefits our product teams and our customers," said Bart De Pelsmaeker, Head of Software at Agfa Graphics. "It allows us to build solutions that get closer aligned with other Adobe application environments. We are able to share and exchange experience about trends in our industry like integrated publishing. As a consequence the market will get access to new and better balanced tools.

"Adobe is excited to have Agfa as a new Gold member of the partner program," said Raman Nagpal, senior director, Print and Scan Business Unit at Adobe. "We look forward to working together to create new and exiting solutions for our common customers."

Agfa Graphics benefits from a multi-years relationship with Adobe and an enormous number of CPSI and APPE based systems installed worldwide. Most recent developments are the :Apogee Suite 6.0 for PDF workflows in commercial prepress environments and the introduction of APPE 2.0.
